Do you enjoy business development, relationship management and making and leveraging connections in the business community? Are you a proactive self-starter who can work both independently and as a committed member of a team? Are you able to develop and deliver outstanding presentations? Do you have 5-10 years experience in developing, managing and growing partner relationships? 

As a Director Partnership/Sponsorship you will help the team VP strategically direct and manage the team and work with other AMA volunteers to find, lead and manage the cash and in-kind sponsorships that help AMA programs succeed. You will ensure your portfolio of clients benefit from their relationship with AMA Toronto and in turn deliver value for the chapter.  

Your responsibilities would include:

  • Identifying partner/sponsor prospects who align with AMA’s strategic priorities
  • Facilitating introductions to potential partners and sponsors and helping to develop and drive pitch activities
  • Negotiating and closing agreements as well as contract renewals
  • Managing the relationship with your partners to ensure satisfaction as well as proactively looking for mutually beneficial growth opportunities
  • Collaborating with the VP and Managers and other AMA teams (such as Marcom, Events, etc) to identify the needs for the relationship, setting the parameters and ensuring the smooth and satisfactory execution of the contract through AMA work-flow and deliverables
