Commitment to mentorship and member programming are high on agenda for incoming board
TORONTO, October 15, 2024 – Kicking off the 2024/25 season, the Toronto chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) this week unveiled the full line-up of its board of directors.
The board is tasked with guiding the chapter’s overall strategic direction to ensure AMA Toronto continues to serve as an essential community for marketers in and around the greater Toronto area.
“I’m delighted to welcome a mix of new and returning faces to the board representing a deep well of expertise and perspectives,” Olga Pigeon, newly-appointed AMA Toronto president, says. “I look forward to working with everyone to advance our chapter’s mission.”
Pigeon succeeds Santo Ligotti, who served as president last year. Ligotti will continue to support the chapter in his role as immediate past president.
“Santo and the previous board members did an incredible job and have left us with a solid foundation on which to build,” Pigeon says. “This includes continuing to strengthen our commitment to DEI, boosting member engagement and enhancing our operational excellence.”
The board of directors is responsible for leading a range of initiatives spanning the chapter’s five pillars of training, mentorship, membership, awards and volunteering. The chapter also serves as a gateway to Canadian and international opportunities.
“AMA Toronto events and programs continually deliver on our promise to empower the leadership potential of our members at every stage of their careers,” says Pigeon. “With a new season ahead of us, this autumn is going to be an exciting time for AMA Toronto.
