Behind the Scenes: Kicking Off Our New Fiscal Year

July was a busy time for some of our AMA volunteers. Our new President, Barbara Boyd, has been leading returning and new board members through our strategic planning and budgeting process.

A big welcome to Jessica Zuckier our new Marcom VP and Heather Purcell our new VP Finance who have already had an impact on our operations. And a big shout-out to the rest of the returning team who are also positioning us for success in the coming year.

But we’re not just busy planning. We’re also busy doing. And there’s lots happening across most of our teams. But a special notice to you ambitious marketers. Craig Lund and the Mentorship team have started taking mentee applications for our Mentor Exchange and our Executive Coaching programs. So if you want to boost your leadership potential and your career, check out our website at https://ama-toronto.com/mentorship/.

AMA Toronto volunteering is not just about planning and projects. It’s also about community and fun. Some of our board and committee volunteers who were in town took some time to kick back in my backyard in July. Pizza, wine, ice-cream bars and an AMA trivia competition were a welcome summer diversion. Congratulations to Esther Wang Yu who won the Godiva gift basket. Thanks to Barb, Maithili, Craig, Noha and Julia who helped us stage this event. A special shout-out to all those who attended. It was great to see you in-person.
