Behind the Scenes: AMA Toronto’s New Career Centre

AMA Toronto’s brand purpose is to help marketers develop their leadership potential. Whether it’s through our two mentorship programs, our volunteer experiences or other programs, we have built a community of talented marketers. Many of these marketers are looking for their next career opportunity where they can put their potential to work or to recruit the leadership talent who can bring greater value to their organization. Our new Career Centre is intended to match high potential marketers with marketing career opportunities.

This is not “just another job board”. AMA Toronto’s Career Centre removes some of the inefficiencies of marketer recruitment from multi-purpose platforms such as Indeed or LinkedIn. Our job seekers are all marketers and our employers only post marketing positions. This simplifies the screening process, saves time and reduces recruitment costs. Another financial benefit is that AMA members and potentially our sponsors and partners can receive additional financial incentives. It’s a welcome new service for both job seekers and companies looking to hire marketing talent: https://ama-toronto.careerwebsite.com/

Meet our September Rockstars

Our September Rockstars are two of the talented volunteers who have worked with their Director Dean MacNeil to successfully launch our new Career Centre Program to our larger community.

Kazi Arif Zaman: Manager Career Centre

Since joining the Career Centre team led by Director Dean MacNeil, Kazi Arif Zaman ran the speaker management and the communications strategy planning for the AMA Career Cafe event in August. Kazi is an experienced CPG sales strategist with more than 15+ years of experience with CPG brands such as Unilever and Reckitt Benckiser. He has both an EMBA and BBA degree in marketing.

Pruteik Asija: Manager Career Centre

Pruteik Asija was instrumental in the brand strategy, event metrics and the design of the very successful AMA Career Cafe event experience. His work helped ensure an inspiring and informative experience for event participants looking to enhance their career building skills. Pruteik has 11+ years experience in integrated marketing communications and is an experienced business presenter and project manager. He has supported global brands and start-ups in communicating brand stories effectively and helped them engage meaningfully with consumers.
