One of the highlights of our Year at AMA Toronto and biggest responsibilities is celebrating our Marketing Legends — nominated and selected by their peers and acknowledged for their incredible contributions to our community.
Our “virtual” gala evening on April 22 was a culmination of the team’s passion, dedication and much hard work, and I am so proud of them. This huge undertaking brings our team together like nothing else, and this year, under unusual circumstances and limitations, many worked countless hours to bring a memorable experience to our community and recognize these amazing individuals.
Personally, I found it so gratifying to see the ideas and inspiration come to life to create something magical. For our Legends, I am so thrilled to have been able to create those memories that Tony Chapman spoke about in the opening segment.
And for the audience, I hope you were as inspired as I was. It was also wonderful to dress up and pop the bubbly, thanks to Mission Hill, to celebrate together.
In addition to having an evening to remember, we are proud to soon unveil the permanent Canada’s Marketing Hall of Legends virtual space, a place that our partner Yellow House is creating for us so anyone can visit to learn more about and get inspired by all of our incredible Legends.
April 18-24 was Volunteer week, and many of us took the opportunity to acknowledge some of the 90+ volunteers that run AMA Toronto. Thank you to each and every one of you for your ongoing commitment to our success.
I am also excited for AMA Toronto’s annual CMO Panelcoming up on June 9. Always an insightful, relevant discussion, it ALWAYS sells out. Stay tuned as our CMO speakers will be revealed soon.
Enjoy and stay well, as nature awakens and the blooms burst into vivid colours.
Onwards and upwards,
