Wendy is an engaging and valued Coach and Facilitator. She is known for her high energy, whole-hearted coaching style – delivering growth and positive outcomes for the people she works with. Wendy has extensive corporate and entrepreneurial work experience. She spent the first half of her career in progressively senior marketing roles up to the VP level in major Canadian and multi-national firms (BMO, American Express, Manulife). In 2003 she co-founded Spark Ideas, a marketing strategy and research consulting firm, to focus on generating meaningful insights to support marketing strategy for top tier national and international corporate clients. Following 3 years of coaching and consulting, Wendy has focused exclusively on coaching for the past 3 years. Her enthusiasm, creativity and strong communication skills – in combination with her extensive business experience – ensure an engaging and productive coaching experience for her clients.
Wendy has coached emerging and senior leaders in a road range Financial Services companies, Consumer and Business Services, Consumer Packaged Goods and Health and Wellness sectors. Her coaching has been with national and international company employees as well as with entrepreneurs. Wendy volunteers through Up With Women – coaching previously homeless and at-risk women build a sustainable path out of poverty.
Wendy completed her coach training in 2017 through Coach Training Institute in New York earning her Certified Coach (CPCC) designation. She earned her Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential through the International Coach Federation and is qualified in Positive Intelligence Coaching (CPQC).
Wendy has a strong sense of adventure and curiosity – always looking forward to visiting previously unexplored territory. She loves outdoor activities – hiking, snowshoeing, skiing, kayaking. Wendy gets very excited about eating and cooking. She earned a Culinary Arts Diploma from George Brown Chef School and can often be found in the kitchen – whether it belongs to her or not!
