Marie-Josée (MJ) just finished exploring Canada and the US after a successful 34-year career in Marketing. She is a talented marketer who has shown great achievement in her thoughtful leadership of teams to successfully deliver excellent customer experience in multi-channel Marketing.
A veteran of the competitive world of banking, she acquired strong expertise in financial marketing, with a focus on targeted customer marketing. For 10 years, until 2018, MJ was leading the development of data-driven multi-channel Targeted Marketing for Scotiabank, as a Vice-President in Marketing. In the past, she served as the Vice-President, Managing Director of FCB Direct, working with CIBC and other clients. She was also a Director, Direct Marketing at RBC Royal Bank where she held progressively senior roles in marketing culminating in the development of RBC’s complex Relationship Management (CRM) platform and its implementation. Before RBC, Marie-Josée worked for Apple overseeing Marketing and Public Relations in Toronto and Montreal.
Until 2015, she was a Director on the Board at NABS (National Advertising Benevolent Society). She also served as a Director on the Board of the CMA (Canadian Marketing Association) until 2006. She is a frequent contributor to networking and mentoring events in Marketing.
In May 2006, Marie-Josée received the CMA’s Honorary CMA Life Membership for her outstanding contribution to the marketing community in Canada. And, in August 2010, Marie-Josée was named to Direct Marketing magazine’s list of the Top 10 Women in Direct Marketing. This list recognizes the achievements of top-performing Direct Marketing executives in Canada.
